About Me

I'm Eleanor Rossington, an Illustrator/Designer/3D modeller, from Salford, Greater Manchester. I'm a recent graduate student of the University Of Salford, who's just completed my final year of Game Design & Production. Whilst I have been studying there, I've had experience with working within industry-like environments in teams to produce quality products within set deadlines. I have also been working on not only improving upon all my skills, that I have picked up across the years, but also learning new skills that might be beneficial to my line of work.

I'm a motivated, ambitious and passionate designer, I'm most passionate about concepting designs whether they be of characters, environmental or various other assets that could be needed. I'm very flexible with my style of working and I can easily adjust to different roles with the right instructions. I'm happy to take criticism on my work so that I can improve upon anything that may be needed.

I have a traditional arts background, but I have been working primarily in digital for the last 5 years, improving in the area over the years. I'm highly passionate about gaming and have been interested in them since I was younger, following how they've developed and improved over the years. I'm very driven in my work, I will almost constantly be working to improve upon my work when I have the time to and even work on smaller projects on the side casually to improve upon not only my 3D modelling skills but also on other skills that could be useful. I can be a generalist artist or specialist in 3D character modelling/concept artist.

EDUCATION

Learning throughout the years

HIGH SCHOOL

(2010- 2015)

Here I properly began my pursuit of a job in the artistic community, taking on both traditional art and art textile, alongside the art of music, which I also enjoyed.

COLLEGE

(2015 - 2017)

I spilt off and decided to concentrate more on art and design here, where I furthered my knowledge in various areas of traditional arts and began my journey in the digital arts.

UNIVERSITY

(2017 - 2020)

University was the start of a new possibility in the direction of games design and production, where I learned basic code and began to delve deeper into the different areas of digital arts.

EXPERIENCE

Recently I have been working as a freelance artist for a casual mobile game "Frigid Launcher", for this I have been 3D modelling and texturing a few additional assets for some of the different themed levels.

As well as working within an industry simulated environment during the time that I have been working on my degree at university, which has helped me get into the type of workflow expected in the industry. It has improved my ability to both work alone and within teams efficiently, as well as boost my confidence, and ability to pitch and present ideas to an audience.

While at university, I attended different courses that have helped me improve my skills and also taught me completely new skills that would be beneficient while working in the industry. These skills include 3D modelling, both environmental and character, which also involved animation. Alongside those, I also learnt how to create effective narratives and use the agile methodology to manage projects efficiently.
